"Happy Blog Day to Me, Happy Blog Day to Meeee!!"

"Happy Blog Day, Happy Blog Day....Happy First Blog Day tooooo Meeeeeee!!"

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE !

The time over here in the UK is now precisely 11.50pm
on Thursday the 18th August - 2011.

The clock is ticking down to tomorrow quite relentlessly as I write these very words, and so due to a myriad of unforeseen events and circumstances that have come my way during the course of today, I have been unable to finish the blog post I have been promising and was sincerely intended, to be

Therefore, over the next few hours of running back and forth between my PC here, and my hot and steamy kitchen ce soir, this will become a live online, developing postette, of which I will attempt (or be prevented from) to add a few bits and bobs, as and when I can between cheffing in 'le kitchenette' and tapping on my keyboard here.

And as to when I'm going to finally get around to ever finishing the posts I keep yarring on about, well..."Frankly my dear, I have absolutely no idea.."

"I'd also like to say a big heartfelt 'Thank You!' to all of you out there, who have taken the trouble to read my posts and leave  such a variety of thoughtful comments on so many occasions along the way. Your attention and remarks are of great value to me and will continue to be enjoyed and highly appreciated - Truly. Phil."

Just wanted to ensure this particular date was marked by a post entry for the occasion to begin with, come what bloody may... oooh, it's now 11.58pm...

Merde!!!

back in 5...ish...........................

Kate Bush - Moments Of Pleasure

Friday - 19th August, 1600 hours: "Okay, I've given in. Abandoned all my schemes, ideas and intentions of celebrating my blogs very first anniversary with a biopic tale of gin & tonic. I thus respectfully withdraw from the field of bloggle with all the dignity I can muster, and will hence return to fight my cause on 'yet another' bluddy day. Fair thee well for now then, for thou will return, I swear to blog...."

Steve in Leamington Spa: Thank you for the illustrious salutations. I will therefore favourably consider renewing your membership to my blog, for yet another year.

Kate is sat on my lap ‘blushing’ right now by the way.

I…on the other hand, am not blushing. Although I have gone a little pink, pasty and goggle eyed in the last few minutes…

Jane & Lance in Budapest: And many thanks back to you two too, for your kind comments. It’s a pleasure shared I promise you. Glad you escaped safely from our south east coast once again. The farting penguins were a very lucky find yesterday evening. Uniquely delightful. This was nothing remotely like the posting I was trying to finish for yesterdays occasion. I literally threw it all together in the final few minutes before the clocks chimed at midnight, to mark the date and avoid turning into a frog. Sighh…

Valerie in Colorado Springs in early Autumn: Aaaaahh…gee thanks a bunch back ‘continental cuzz’, what a jolly fine hippy happy singing voice you have there too. I was cooking up ‘Stage 1’ of a mega size bin of my own Spag Bol sauce recipe and a similar mega size tank of Coq au Vin. I’m warming myself up for ‘Stage 2’ in the next half hour or so. Just about to don my ‘best dress apron’ and ceremonial cooks knife in readiness for joining the heat of battle once again. Big pre-sweaty blogger hugs back then V. P.

Happy blogiversary...and if you can produce all that as a last minute attempt to beat the clock together with cheffing and doing goodness only knows whatelse (best not to enquire, perhaps)...well, all I can say is...we'll make a woman of you yet...

'MAD AS A BOX OF FROGS'...I like that!

Hi Fly Rica in Costa Rica! Ta ever so for your comical comment. Make a woman of me yet?! My, that's truly praise indeed, and not the least because it comes from you Fly. I'm seriously flattered, honest, as well as chuckling out loud! Thank you. All I need to get to grips with now is a hoover and washing machine while I'm feeding the babies then.

John's 'Mad Frogs' phrase is a goodun init!

Ok, so you think chickens with arms are remarkable...but farting penguins!? Well, at least Henny would be able to cover her nose! Sorry for being a bit tardy with my wish for you, but here it is: Happy Blogthday! Or maybe, Happy Anniblogsary? Anniversablog, Blogaversary? I could go on, but I'm afraid it's time to walk the dog ;)

‘E’ in Seattle: Re- “so you think chickens with arms are remarkable...”

Well ding dang right I do ERS! You never heard a penguin fart then?! Where you bin lady?? All that plankton and prawn gas, let alone trying to scoff it all down to the constant rise and fall of your dining room on the ocean – well don’t you think even your rummy tum tum would be hard pushed not to unleash some of the old residual natural methane ‘post deserts’ so as to speak?!

As for self basting chickens with arms, well give them another twenty million years from now and some of Darwin’s theories may by then have proved you more prescient than just plain creatively barmy. Unlike ‘moi’ of course!

Merci pour tout les nice salutations and silly ‘ogsary’s’, ‘versablogs’ and ‘versary’s’ - ‘E’!

Ahem....I beg your pardon, but I am NOT a bin lady.

Cripes and Crikey Mark…and a great big bloggy ”HAPPY BLUDDY BIRTHDAY TO YOU BLOKE!!!”

Sorry Mark, I had no idea mate, I thought you passed that marker back in the 70’s!?? It never occurred to me that you might still be a mere whipper snapper like moi. Mein got! We could have had a great big joint she-blogger-bang too, chewing the fat and conjugating our verbs all the way to dawns early choruses.

Well I hope you had a memorable one, that’s all I can say Mark. Tis a special milestone to have accomplished, especially as the saying nowadays is that 50 is the new 40! Which means that your new and wonderful life has only just started – excellent!!

I had mine a couple of years back in a wonderful small ‘off piste’ basement restaurant in Barcelona, surrounded by the most warm and friendly crowd of Catalan co-diners you’re ever likely to meet. There was so much joy in that place, let alone the stunning food, that I didn’t want to leave – and not a single tourist within 100 metres. It took about twenty minutes just to hug my way through everybody on the pavement outside at half past stupid o’clock in the morning. Hugely special, and will never be forgotten!

Very many happy returns to you Mark, and may the next fifty ans remain even healthier and happier than the last fifty ans! Xx
